I have been a proud resident of Wokingham Borough since 2005. My children have grown up here, attended local schools, and enjoyed our beautiful parks. Through door-to-door conversations, I have developed a deep understanding of the issues that matter most to the residents of Bulmershe and Coronation ward.
1. Parking Fee Adjustments:
o Advocate for the repeal of recent increments in parking fees.
o Reinstate complimentary parking on Sundays and evenings to invigorate local economic vitality and bolster businesses.
2. Sanitation Management:
o Uphold weekly refuse collection schedules to ensure communal satisfaction and ecological purity.
o Prevent fly-tipping, which exacts considerable financial and environmental tolls.
3. Primary and Secondary School Education
o Number of school places need to be increased.
o Work thoroughly to increase extra-curricular and sports activities for young people.
4. Community Safety Enhancement:
o Intensify collaborations with law enforcement to efficaciously address anti-social behaviour and reduce incidences of shoplifting.
o Implement regulatory measures for electric scooters to safeguard pedestrian safety.
5. Infrastructure Investment:
o Champion augmented allocations for the road maintenance budget within a Conservative council framework.
o Prioritize the safety and maintenance of infrastructure, responding to resident concerns.
6. Sustainable Development and Environmental Stewardship:
o Commit to the conservation of green areas to strike an equilibrium between urban development and ecological preservation.
o Acknowledge the enduring advantages of sustainable land management on property valuations and communal well-being.
