I have been living in this area with my family for the last 22 years. I work for an IT firm (CGI IT) based in the Green Park and I was involved in many IT projects for the Central Government departments. My son went to a local primary school here, Hawkedon Primary School. My son grew up playing in the local parks and I see that we can do a lot more to help secure the parks and playing grounds.
I have been involved in the community work for the last 15 years and I serve as a secretary (women) for the local organisation, Telugu Association of Reading and Around (TARA) on a voluntary basis. I have been running many community events to raise funds and we raised more than £1000 for the Royal Berkshire Hospital recently. I have been organising events for last 10 years mainly focusing on health, fitness, meditation and other cultural festivals.
As a woman deeply invested in the well-being of Earley, I believe that diversity is our strength, and every voice deserves to be heard. Throughout my career and personal life, I have witnessed the incredible impact that collaboration, empathy, and inclusivity can have on shaping a brighter future for all.
I am passionate about local community and culture. My passion is on the education and local amenities. I want to make sure every child gets better education and the school nearby.
I was also involved in building a local sports club and I raised the required funding to enhance the club facilities as part of Corporate Social Responsibility. I want to work towards improving the amenities in the local parks and sports clubs.
I believe that the strength of our community lies in the collective power of its people. I am seeking your support, your ideas, and your commitment to creating a better Earley that is vibrant, inclusive, and forward-thinking.
