Pauline Jorgensen has had quite a few comments about policing lately, whether it's drug dealing, shoplifting, antisocial behaviour or mini scooters and motorbikes making residents lives a misery.
She has followed up with the council and the Police and Crime Commissioner on some problems raised by a resident, in this case, masked motorcyclists riding on narrow residential paths in Shinfield and is happy to help with any other issues, just drop her a line.
Pauline says: "On Thursday we had a meeting with the Chief Constable when I brought up issues around shoplifting and antisocial behaviour in our local shopping areas. I heard they have some positive plans for more neighbourhood police.
These new police officers have now been trained and are being deployed in our area. They will also review CCTV against known offenders using facial recognition software to identify culprits. They said they plan a crackdown on illegal e-scooters which is another of the regular complaints I get."
"I would like to hear your views on local policing to see what else I can do.
I’ll go through every survey response — and I’ll discuss your answers at my next meeting with Matt Barber our Police and Crime Commissioner."

So why not take a moment to make your views count and help cut crime in our area? Oh and please feel free to share this, the more responses we get the better.
